The cost effectiveness of a OneWater system enables the construction of decentralised treatment facilities adjacent to the water re-use demand location. These modular plants are able to satisfy local clean water demand (especially in regions of water scarcity) and reduce the load on existing treatment facilities; thus reducing the need to build new, or upgrade existing, treatment plants.
